We enrich the Curry student experience by providing scholarships, funding for research, resources for global travel, opportunities for professional development, and support of student organizations. Curry students are preparing to be educators and not only in the traditional sense. Some will teach in classrooms, but others will work as speech pathologists in hospitals, counsel youth in community centers, rehabilitate athletes as sports trainers, and discover ways to improve student learning as researchers.

Scholarship giving levels start at $100,000 and that support enables Curry to attract the most qualified and motivated undergraduate and graduate students. Curry strives to offer robust scholarship packages to ensure that we can compete successfully for the most able students.

Donors are encouraged to consider supporting Curry through UVA’s Bicentennial Scholarships Fund. Gifts of $100,000 provide named scholarships with the option to set eligibility preferences. In addition, the UVA Board of Visitors has established the Bicentennial Scholars Fund which will match any commitment to endowed undergraduate scholarships of $100,000 or more, payable over up to five years, with a fifty-cent match on every dollar. Commitments of $1 Million or more will be matched dollar for dollar.

For more information, please visit the Bicentennial Scholars Fund website.
