Gerald D. StarsiaExecutive Director(434) 924-6310Gerry Starsia is the first Curry School graduate to lead the Foundation since Mary Alice Gunter retired in 1994. His initial priorities include developing sustainable and reliable resources in support of the School’s aspirations, building a world-class fundraising organization and deepening engagement with alumni and donors. Kelly serves as the project lead for the Curry School’s efforts in building capacity for autism research, training, and service, as well as Curry School’s work in contemplative sciences in teaching and learning.Mike CashmanDirector of Development(434) 924-7408Prior to the Curry School, Mike was the Director of Development for the Focused Ultrasound Foundation, responsible for leading an annual fundraising goal of $8 million. Mike is a retired Navy Captain and served as a helicopter pilot for over 28 years. He serves as the project lead for the Classroom Simulator as well as guiding donors through the planned giving process.Renee Clark BushDirector of the Annual Fund(434) 924-0965After working in public accounting for four years, Renee "retired" to pursue her passion in higher education. Renee worked in student affairs and annual giving at several institutions before joining the Curry School. Renee focuses on annual giving and programming (including Dean’s Circle of Friends, student giving, alumni engagement, and digital media philanthropy).Jane BuckChief Operating Officer(434) 924-3086Jane oversees financial information and reporting of the Curry School Foundation contributions and investments, including the annual audit. She gathers financial information for the Curry School Foundation’s annual report and other external reporting needs.Marie PaceResearch Support and Development Coordinator(434) 924-0854Marie has been a part of the UVA community for over 20 years. Marie has experience in sales forecasting, budgeting, pipeline management and executive reporting. Marie coordinates development officers’ portfolios, engages Curry School alumni and friends, and provides high level administrative support for the Foundation team.Jake MinturnDirector of Marketing and Communications(434) 924-8343Jake oversees the Curry School Foundation’s marketing and communications. Prior to joining Curry, Jake was the Director of Digital Media at the UVA Alumni Association. A graduate of UVA, he’s worked in a variety of marketing roles both within agencies and higher education. Jake is a board member of the St. Elmo Club of UVA as well as Tandem Friends School of Charlottesville.Jennifer CornellDirector of Development(434) 924-5553Based in Richmond, Jenn is focused on increasing alumni engagement and support in the Greater Richmond and Northern Virginia markets. Jenn’s background includes nonprofit consulting and management, high tech marketing, and financial services operations and product management. A graduate of UVA, Jenn is the project lead for the Nudge4 program, developing scalable solutions in education and public policy to help people make informed decisions to better their situations and improve outcomes.
